Sharing Common Flames
An Ecumenical Celebration of Women in Ministry

Wednesday Oct. 11, 2006 1:30-4-30 P.M.
United Theological Seminary
Dayton, Ohio

Celebrate the legacy of women in ministry (as ministers, elders, deacons, Christian educators, or in other positions) and explore the issues confronting us all today in our God-given calls.

This afternoon celebration experience is for all women who have been in, are in, or are interested in ministry leadership.
During the afternoon we will have a panel of ministers and lay leaders from different denominations share an experience that has brought both joy and challenge to their lives in leadership.

This will be followed by roundtable discussions around three conversation threads:

•How can we take care of ourselves and each other?
•How do women deal with and transform current church structures?
•And How can we manage to "move on?"

We will close with a worship service celebrating the gifts women bring to church leadership.

Registration at the door or on United's web site (Watch for announcement of when this is available).

Cost: Students free; others $10.00

This celebration is sponsored by a partnership of The Miami Presbytery Social Justice Committee Focus Group on Women's Ordination PC(USA), and United Theological Seminary: The Harriet L. Miller Women's Center and The Institute for Applied Theology.
