Margaret Haney to retire
Executive Presbyter for 10 years
"Bye-Bye Bash" December 2

Margaret Haney, Executive Presbyter of the Miami Presbytery, will retire at the end of this year. To honor her for 10 years of service to Presbyterians in the Miami Valley, a “Bye-Bye Bash” will be held on Friday, December 2, at Southminster Presbyterian Church, Dayton, Ohio. The evening, which begins at 5:30 with a gathering and greeting, dinner at 6:30, and a worship service at 8:00, promises to be one you won’t want to miss.

Reservations are required

The cost of the  “Bye Bye Bash” dinner is $15 per person. You may make reservations at any time through the presbytery office or download the registration form below and mail it to "Bye-Bye Bash", The Miami Presbytery, 1541 South Smithville Road, Dayton, OH  45410. Payment for dinner reservations is due by noon on Monday, November 28.

Margaret’s words upon her retirement

“This announcement is a difficult one because during the ten years that I have served as Executive Presbyter here, I have grown to love the people in Miami Presbytery and to consider myself part of the ministry that grows out of our covenant with each other.

“God's blessings have been abundant for me here; my life has been blessed by the bonds that we have formed as we worked and shared together. I have seen, again and again, the Spirit of God moving in the congregations with whom I have worked; I have enjoyed knowing and working with the remarkable pastors, educators, and elders who make up the presbytery, along with all the faithful volunteers who have shaped the ministry of the presbytery; and I have felt privileged to be a part of the journey that we have made--seeking together to be faithful in all our ministries-through the congregations and the presbytery as a whole.”
