Kirkmont Presbyterian Church celebrated $400,000 of interior renovations including the sanctuary, nursery, and new staff space with a ribbon cutting and open house in October 2005.

Construction on the project began in June 2005 and concluded in September. The sanctuary improvements include new carpeting, pew covers and lighting. The new staff office space features creative design and vibrant colors and the new nursery is designed to look like a big treehouse.

“The improvements have made our building a better instrument for God’s use. By locating the staff in one improved space, it has already helped strengthen an already strong spirit of teamwork. Most importantly, the improvements have definitely made our building friendlier for kids and families,” said Rev. Eric Laverentz, Pastor of Kirkmont Presbyterian Church.

A committee started meeting two years ago to begin planning building improvements. The first step included hiring The Architectural Group to develop a master plan for the building. This year’s improvements are the first step in the master plan. Calvary served as the contractor on the project.
