For
some of us the holidays are a glorious time of celebration, but for many
of us the holidays are a difficult time. Perhaps they are difficult
because we are feeling sad, mad or afraid. Perhaps they are difficult
because we have had a loved one die and we miss them. It may be difficult
because we have recently divorced or separated. Or maybe it is because
life is hard right now and we dont see the light in the midst of the
darkness.
For many of us the holidays are not about joy and laughter but are rather
times of disappointment and maybe even depression. Although it might go
unnoticed or maybe we are afraid to share our true feelings there are
many who struggle through the holidays. So what do we do? How do we see
the true light in the darkness? How do we get through this time?
Corinth Presbyterian Church is offering a Blue Christmas service this
year. This service will be a time to reflect on the losses we have
experienced and to together remember the real reason of this season: that
we are not alone.
The
service will be held twice: First on Wednesday, December 13th at 7:00 P.M.
in the Sanctuary and again on Saturday afternoon, December 16th at
2:00 P.M.
If
you are having a difficult time entering into the holiday season please
come and worship with us or if you know someone who this service might
speak to please invite them to attend.
