Rick Ufford-Chase visits Miami Presbytery

Ufford-Chase, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church (USA), was hosted at a
"Meet the Moderator" open house at the office of The Miami Presbytery March 13,
2006. Miami Valley Presbyterians welcomed him and had the opportunity to hear
Ufford-Chase speak about his experiences as Moderator and about the future of
the PC(USA).
Ufford-Chase serves 2.4 million Presbyterians nationwide, and 15,000 members in
64 congregations in the Miami Valley. He is a Presbyterian Mission Co-worker who
has spent 17 years on the U.S./Mexico border. In 1987 he founded and continues
to direct BorderLinks, a binational organization, whose mission is to connect
and educate people of faith on both sides of the border.
Ufford-Chase was elected Moderator at the 216th General Assembly in 2004.
