Jim Wallis, a Christian leader for social change, will speak in Columbus and Cincinnati March 26-28. He is a speaker, author, activist, and international commentator on ethics and public life. Wallis was a founder of Sojourners - Christians for justice and peace - more than 30 years ago and continues to serve as the editor of Sojourners magazine, covering faith, politics and culture. In 1995, Wallis was instrumental in forming Call to Renewal, a national federation of churches, denominations, and faith-based organizations from across the theological and political spectrum working to overcome poverty.

Columbus, Ohio

Jim will meet Rev. Russell Johnson, head of the Ohio Restoration Project in a town hall forum, "Faith and Politics in America: Two Evangelical Perspectives." They'll be at the Capitol Theatre, 77 S. High Street, Columbus, Ohio. From 3:30-5:00 P.M., the two evangelical leaders will offer distinct perspectives on faith and politics in America. We hope you can join them. Admission is free, but you must have a ticket to get in.

Monday, March 27
Cincinnati, Ohio

Jim will offer a lecture at Xavier University, "Christian Leadership, Political Engagement, and Social Change." This lecture, in which Jim will focus on poverty and his vision of God's Politics for a new America, sponsored by Xavier University's Brueggeman Center for Dialogue, will begin at 7:30 P.M. in the Schiff Family Conference Center at Cintas Center.

Tuesday, March 28
Columbus, Ohio

Jim will offer an evening lecture at Ohio State University. This event is being sponsored by the Broad Street Presbyterian Church, First Community Church, Indianola Presbyterian Church, Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and Presbyterian Campus Ministry, along with several other co-sponsors and contributors. During the lecture beginning at 7:30 p.m. in St. John Arena, Jim will share his vision of God's Politics for a new America. The evening will open and close with musical selections by the Raise Mass Choir, a local gospel music ensemble directed by Raymond Wise. Directly following Jim's lecture there will be an open dialogue with the audience. This event is free and open to the public.
