 Dr.
George Hunter, one of the world’s leading experts on evangelism, will lead
a one-day training event Saturday, March 29 at Southminster Presbyterian
Church in Centerville. This event is sponsored by the Evangelism Network
of Miami Presbytery with the goal of equipping our members to share their
faith through personal conversations.
Dr. Hunter is the Professor of Evangelism and Church Growth at
Asbury Theological Seminary
and the author of How to Reach Secular People, Church for the
Unchurched, The Celtic Way of Evangelism, and Radical
Outreach: Recovering an Apostolic Ministry and Evangelism. Dr. Hunter
has served as president of The Academy for Evangelism and The American
Society for Church Growth. He received the Society’s Donald McGavran
award for leadership in Church Growth, the Academy’s Charles G. Finney
award for scholarship in Christian evangelism, and the United Methodist
Council on Evangelism’s Philip Award for leadership in evangelism.
The registration fee for this event is $15 per person, which includes the
cost of lunch. Childcare will be provided.
