Miami Presbytery seeks Executive Presbyter

INVITED: EXECUTIVE PRESBYTER, captured by the vision of a new way to be Presbytery in the 21st Century. Miami Presbytery, 14,000+ Christians, 64 congregations, living in the Miami Valley of Ohio. We are growing toward a new life amidst the restructuring of presbytery governance, which means we are learning and relearning trust amidst shared smiles and theological diversity. Report of the Executive Presbyter Search Committee
August 14, 2007

The Executive Presbyter Search Committee is continuing its work in the hope of having a candidate to present to the Presbytery for election at the September meeting.

We received approximately 30 applications for the position. A dozen of these persons were sent supplemental questions. Following the review of the answers, five candidates were scheduled for telephone interviews and further consideration. These interviews are currently underway.

We anticipate inviting two or three of these candidates to visit with us in Dayton in the next few weeks. We hope that this process will allow us to discern who God is calling to journey with us, and we look forward to introducing this individual to you prior to the September meeting.
