Prayer Shawl Ministry Recognized
at Covington Presbyterian Church

Lavenna Wackler, Coordinator of the Covington Presbyterian Church Prayer Shawl Ministry, and Pastor Robin Blakeman, received a Memorial Lamb from Jackie Nowak, Director of The Blessing Center and Miami Presbytery Associate Executive Presbyter, at a presentation during worship on May 7, 2006.

Eight women are knitting and crocheting shawls for church members and others in the community who are in need. 

Lavenna also presented shawls to The Blessing Center for its Prayer Shawl ministry.

The Memorial Lamb is a gift to each church beginning a Blessing Ministry. The lamb is in memory of Jim DeWall, founding member of the Advisory Board of the Center, who was committed throughout his life to the spiritual nurture of all ages.
