Sunday, December 14 There will be just one worship service on Sunday, Dec. 14, as the choir presents a Christmas cantata to be followed by our Christmas carry-in dinner and welcome party for Pastor Dave Jackson. Worship will be at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary. |

Food Pantry Needs The West Carrollton Food Pantry has been very busy in November helping the many area families in need. As such, they are short on items. If you can donate canned soup, jello or pudding, it would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at the church weekdays between 9:00 and 2:00 or on Sundays. |

Newsletter Due Dates Our last newsletter of 2008 will be a combined December 2008 and January 2009 edition. The due date for turning in articles for this newsletter is Monday, December 1, at 12:00 Noon.

Community Thanksgiving Service Central Church is pleased to host the annual Community Thanksgiving Service on Sunday evening, Nov. 23, at 7:00 PM, as we join with our friends from First Presbyterian Church, St. Henry Catholic Church and Zion Lutheran Church to give thanks to our Lord for the many blessings he has bestowed upon us this year. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. |

Hanging of the Greens On Sunday, Nov. 30, we will have our traditional Hanging of the Greens service at both our 9:30 and 11:30 worship services. |

Advent The first Sunday of Advent is November 30. We will light the Advent wreath each Sunday in both our 9:30 and 11:30 worship services. The theme for each Sunday is as follows:
1st Sunday of Advent (Nov. 30) - Hope 2nd Sunday of Advent (Dec. 7) - Peace 3rd Sunday of Advent (Dec. 14) - Joy 4th Sunday of Advent (Dec. 21) - Love

Christmas Cantata Central Church's Choir presents the Christmas cantata "And This Shall Be a Sign" on Sunday, Dec. 14. Please note that there will be just one worship service on this day at 11:00 AM. Christmas Eve Lessons & Carols Our traditional Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols service will be Wednesday evening, Dec. 24. Music begins at 7:10 PM with worship at 7:30 PM. |

Christmas Carry-In / Welcome Our annual Christmas carry-in dinner will be held on Sunday, Dec. 14, following the 11:00 AM service. This year's dinner is even more special as we welcome Pastor Dave Jackson to Central Church. The children will present a mini Christmas pageant following the dinner. We hope you will join us on this special day! |

Adult Christmas Party Our annual adult Christmas party (AKA "The Troxell Christmas Party")is Sunday evening, Dec. 21, at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
You are invited to spend a holiday evening with members and friends of Central to celebrate the special fellowship of Christmas. Please bring a snack or dessert to share. Each person should also bring a wrapped “white elephant” gift for our unique gift exchange.
We hope you can join us!

Our youth group, CPY (Central Presbyterian Youth), enjoys monthly socials and outreach to the community. Check the bulletin each week for fun happenings and events.

Bible Study

BIBLE STUDY IS CURRENTLY NOT BEING HELD. WE WILL ANNOUNCE SOON WHEN IT WILL START BACK UP.
Join us Thursdays at 6:00 PM for Weekly in the Word in the Lounge.
All church members and friends of Central Church are invited to attend. No prior knowledge of the Bible is necessary to participate in this study.

Central Lunch Bunch
|
| Our next gathering will be December 9 at Noon. Center Stage is back with a new program of song and dance for the Christmas season. Plan to join us at 12:00 Noon for lunch followed by the program at 1:00 PM. |

Christian Education
|
Our Christian Education program for all ages is Sunday mornings at 10:45 AM, from September to May.
Adults meet in room 201 (back hallway).
Junior and Senior High meets in the room stage left in the Fellowship Hall. Teens will be following a video and magazine series.
Our Children's Sunday School is as follows:
Infant Nursery (0-2 1/2)
Preschool - Kindergarten meeting in the Pre-School Room with Miss Sonya.
Grades 1 - 6 meet in the Art Room with Miss Cindy. This age group will be following the "Worship for Life" curriculum.

Prayer Circle
|
| PRAYER CIRCLE IS CURRENTLY NOT BEING HELD. WE WILL ANNOUNCE SOON WHEN IT WILL START BACK UP.
Central Church's Prayer Circle meets every Thursday evening at 5:30 PM, preceding our 6:00 PM Weekly in the Word Bible Study.
Partipants may either pray out loud or pray silently - it is up to each individual how they wish to participate.
If you cannot attend, prayer requests may be called into the church office and will be forwarded onto the Prayer Circle.
All members and friends of Central Church are welcome!
